Get Hands-On. Keep Industrial Operations Moving.
Looking for a job where you can work with your hands, learn valuable industrial skills, and make a real impact? C&H Industrial Services is looking for a dependable, mechanically inclined Industrial Equipment Intake & Cleaning Associate to help manage the intake, cleaning, inspection, and tracking of dirty industrial equipment and maintenance materials.
This is a hands-on industrial position—not a traditional warehouse or barcode-scanning job.
You'll be responsible for receiving used, dirty, and sometimes heavily soiled industrial equipment and materials, thoroughly cleaning them, and accurately recording them in our inventory system. The work is physical, messy, and essential to keeping our industrial operations running safely and efficiently.
If you're comfortable getting dirty, handling heavy equipment, and taking pride in turning a dirty piece of equipment into something clean, accounted for, and ready for its next use, this could be the opportunity for you!
What You'll Do:
- Receive Dirty Industrial Equipment: Accept incoming used equipment, tools, and maintenance materials from industrial operations and prepare them for processing.
- Clean Equipment and Materials: Physically clean dirty, greasy, grimy, and heavily soiled industrial items. This job involves real industrial cleaning—not simply wiping down shelves or tidying a warehouse.
- Inspect Incoming Items: Examine equipment and materials upon arrival, identify visible damage or issues, and help ensure items are properly accounted for.
- Record Items in the System: Enter received equipment and materials into the inventory system, update records, and ensure information is accurate and complete.
- Organize and Track Inventory: Properly identify, label, and organize cleaned equipment and materials so they can be located and tracked.
- Handle Heavy Industrial Materials: Safely move, lift, and position equipment and materials as needed throughout the intake and cleaning process.
- Maintain a Safe Work Area: Keep the intake and cleaning areas organized and follow applicable safety procedures when handling dirty equipment, cleaning materials, and industrial items.
- Support Daily Operations: Help ensure equipment and maintenance materials are properly received, cleaned, documented, and ready for the next step in the process.
What We're Looking For:
- High school diploma or GED.
- Dependable, responsible, and willing to work hard.
- Comfortable performing physically demanding, hands-on industrial work.
- Willingness to handle dirty, greasy, grimy, and heavily soiled equipment and materials daily.
- Comfortable lifting, moving, and handling heavy industrial items.
- Detail-oriented, with the ability to accurately enter information into computer systems.
- Basic computer skills and willingness to learn inventory software.
- Mechanically inclined or interested in learning about industrial equipment and maintenance materials.
- Ability to follow instructions and established safety procedures.
- Valid driver's license and clean motor vehicle record (MVR).
- Must be 21 or older due to insurance requirements.
- Willingness to work occasional weekends and holidays.
- Willingness to travel occasionally, up to 20%.
No previous inventory experience? That's okay! We're looking for someone dependable, willing to learn, comfortable with physical work, and ready to take on the responsibilities of an industrial environment.
Is This the Right Job for You?
This position is a great fit if you:
- Prefer working with your hands instead of sitting at a desk.
- Don't mind getting dirty while cleaning industrial equipment.
- Enjoy hands-on, mechanical, or maintenance-related work.
- Can handle physically demanding tasks and heavy materials.
- Can balance physical work with accurate recordkeeping and computer entry.
- Take pride in doing a job thoroughly and correctly.
Please note: This is not a forklift-only, shipping-and-receiving, pallet-wrapping, order-picking, or barcode-scanning position. While inventory tracking and computer entry are important parts of the job, the primary responsibilities are intaking dirty industrial equipment, physically cleaning it, and recording it accurately in the system.
Candidates seeking a clean, light-duty warehouse environment or a position focused exclusively on scanning and moving products may find that this role is not the right fit.
