Position Summary:
The Industrial Service Manager (General Services) is responsible for leading all branch operations related to industrial cleaning, hydroblasting, and vacuum services. This role combines strategic leadership with hands-on operational oversight to ensure high-quality service delivery, efficient project execution, and overall business performance. The position holds full P&L responsibility and is accountable for driving revenue growth, operational excellence, safety compliance, and client satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and oversee all branch operations, including field execution, logistics, and service delivery.
- Manage multiple crews and Supervisors through effective workforce planning and scheduling.
- Drive operational efficiency through process improvements and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Coach, mentor, and develop Supervisors and field personnel.
- Ensure compliance with OSHA, DOT, and environmental regulations.
- Promote and enforce a strong safety culture, including audits and incident management.
- Manage full P&L responsibilities including budgeting, forecasting, and KPI tracking.
- Review and approve bids, estimates, and pricing strategies.
- Develop and execute strategic growth plans to increase revenue and market share.
- Maintain strong client relationships and serve as primary point of contact for key accounts.
- Identify and pursue new business opportunities.
- Oversee fleet and equipment maintenance and utilization.
Qualifications & Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Minimum 7 years of experience in industrial services or related field.
- At least 3 years of leadership experience managing crews and equipment.
- Valid driver’s license with clean MVR; CDL preferred.
- Must possess a valid TWIC card and pass a drug screening.
- Strong financial acumen with P&L management experience.
- Excellent customer relationship and communication skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook, Teams).
- Ability to travel as needed and work flexible hours, including nights/weekends.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with industrial cleaning, hydroblasting, scaffolding, or similar services.
- Experience driving EBITDA performance and revenue growth.
Physical & Work Environment Requirements:
- Ability to work in industrial environments with varying conditions.
- Capable of walking, standing, climbing, and navigating job sites.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs with proper equipment and techniques.
- Ability to operate office and mobile equipment and perform repetitive tasks.
